I am a born and bred South African, having grown up and been educated there. I attended the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in History and English Literature. I started my career at an online gaming company called ForwardSLASH, working in the call center. I then moved up in the marketing department, creating retention and brand promotions, communications plans and other marketing tactics.

I then moved to London in the UK and worked there for a few companies ranging from a TV shopping network called sit-up channels to a ecommerce marketing agency called Digivate before traveling to the United States with my husband who was transferred to New Jersey by his company, a travel agency called Flight Center. 

I have been living and working in New Jersey for over 10 years, working in a range of industries, from publishing companies like Nintendo of America to retail stores like Century 21 Stores, headquartered in New York City. 

My last few roles have been in the financial services and insurance B2B industry with a 2 year stint at New York Life Insurance Company, Jackson Hewitt Tax Services as well as in logistics at Ryder System and most recently at Zurich North America.
